Second 50 Years Certificate
for George Hatton

On Friday 6th November 2009, the Chapter of Security No. 7299 had a distinguished visitor from the Provincial Grand Chapter. The Most Excellent Grand Superintendent, Peter Magnay DL attended their regular meeting in Wallsend Masonic Hall and presented a certificate to Excellent Companion George Hatton PProvGSN on attaining 50 years continuous service to the Royal Arch Masonry. This is his second 50 years certificate and the first was of course, for the service to Craft Masonry and it was presented by W. Bro. George was initiated into the Lodge of Security No. 7299 in Broomfield Hall, Jesmond on 14th June 1957. A year later he proposed his brother Stanley into Freemasonry and Stanley was initiated into the Lodge of Security on 14th November 1958.

Almost a year ago on 14th November 2008, W. Bro. Stanley Hatton PProvJGW also received his 50 years certificate for his service to Craft Masonry from W. Bro. John Chan PSGD, Assistant Provincial Grand Master in the Lodge of Security No. 7299 which also meets in Wallsend Masonic Hall.
