R W Bro. Peter Magnay DL, the Provincial Grand Master of Northumberland attended the Children's Unit at St Oswald's Hospice Gosforth on Wednesday 15th June 2011 on the occasion of the formal handover to the Transition Service of the new equipment for local people who have life limiting and life threatening conditions. Funding for the equipment was made possible by a significant donation from the Freemasons of Northumberland and it was greatly appreciated. See email below:

Hello Peter,  Thank you very much for coming along to St Oswald’s for the official handover of all the fantastic Lifelites IT and entertainment equipment.  As you could see, it’s wonderful ‘kit’ which has really delighted all the young people who use our new Transition service.

I attach a couple of photos from yesterday afternoon.  The first is of you and Adam Copeland, one of the adults who enjoys short breaks at St Oswald’s.  The second is a group shot of L-R Jeremy Aspeden (Trustee Lifelites), Angela Egdell (Clinical Services Director, St Oswald’s Hospice), Jackie Bolam (Children and Young Adults Services Manager St Oswald’s Hospice), Lynne Young (Transition Project Lead St Oswald’s Hospice) and you!

Many thanks again for all that you have done to help our Hospice.  Your kind support has made a huge difference to local people who have life limiting and life threatening conditions.

With best regards, Nikki
