150th Celebrations by Tyne Lodge

On Thursday 13th February 2014 Tyne Lodge No. 991 celebrated its 150th anniversary. The RW Provincial Grand Master (PGM), Peter Magnay DL accompanied by a full Provincial Team were in attendance to help make the evening a very special occasion. W Bro. Robert Harris MacQuarrie, a senior Past Master of the Lodge read a short history of the Lodge to a full house audience of 96 brethren in the Lodge room of Wallsend Masonic Hall. A cheque of £1,500 for the Northumberland Masonic Charity Association was presented to the PGM by the Worshipful Master, W Bro. Michael Bell.

At the Festive Board, £205 was raised by the raffle and the money was donated to the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

On Saturday 22nd February there was a further celebration at The Assembly Rooms in Newcastle. On this occasion the brethren were accompanied by wives, girlfriends and non Masonic friends. The raffle on that evening raised £845 which was also for the Air Ambulance.

Everyone had a great time and the Air Ambulance will benefit by a cheque for £1,050.

Tyne Lodge would like to thank those who had attended and supported these 2 memorable and enjoyable events!
