The Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution (RMBI)

• Founded in 1842, RMBI is a registered charity committed to providing the highest quality of residential and nursing care for older Freemasons and their dependants.
• RMBI currently operates 17 residential Homes across England and Wales offering a range of high quality care options including:
– Residential care
– Nursing care
– Dementia support
– Respite care
• The charity also provides regular help and advice (through its Care Advice Team), sheltered accommodation, home improvement loans and holidays for those receiving Masonic financial assistance.

Scarbrough Court

• One of RMBI Care Homes in the North East part of England.
• Built in 1967, Scarbrough Court is situated on a 1.5 acre site in Cramlington, Northumberland.
• This new home was rebuilt within the current grounds, with a view to providing a new, first class, 21st Century Care Home. It was completed in June 2009.
• The new Scarbrough Court caters to a ‘hotel’ style of care which enables all residents to share communal areas.
• The four exquisitely furnished lounges and an impressive, sunlight drenched octagon shaped dining room are friendly, sociable and
comfortable environments.
• All bedrooms have been carefully designed to provide the highest standards of comfort and privacy, incorporating:
– En-suite bathrooms
– Large windows
– Central heating
– Rooms neutrally decorated to accommodate personal style or taste
– Rooms may be customised with your own furniture
• Roof garden available to allow residents to relax.
• On-site hairdresser for tranquil pampering.
