Ava Melville Report

Ava Melville is 18 years old from Morpeth and suffers from ME. She is a Student of York University who organized the project to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds and awareness of the “Hope for Children’s Charity”. Having suffered herself from ME, she was determined to show that the illness can be overcome and hoped it would inspire others to go on and achieve what they desired.

The Donation of £750.00 approved in March 2013 from The Richard Henry Holmes Masonic Benevolent Fund was towards her costs to carry out the project and she was extremely grateful for the assistance from the Fund.

I personally found her Report here very moving and hope it demonstrates to the Brethren that our help with non Masonic Grants is worthwhile and makes a genuine contribution  to the local community.
