The Masonic Christmas Cards

Behind the Scenes

Christmas is almost upon us once again and as it is tradition in the Province, our annual Christmas cards are
now on sale.  As before, a merry team of Masons and WOMs (Wives of Masons) organised by Dave Watson
worked together to ensure that the Christmas cards were distributed across the Province in time for the Yuletide.

The shipment of cards and envelopes arrives at the Provincial office ready to be sorted into
packs of ten (yes, sorted manually one card and one envelope at a time).

Provincial office is turned into a production line with the team focussed on the job in hand
(even Richard Whiteley's socks couldn't put them off).
Our Provincial Secretary, Colin Hume, is sorting and folding cards ready to be packed. Dave
Watson can be seen in the background (very bravely sporting khaki shorts and a lemon t-shirt).
Lexa Summberbell and Les Watson is packing cards and envelopes ready to be boxed up and
sent out.  Each card and envelope is counted into sets of 10 and packed, by-hand, into a plastic wrap.
Les Watson is taping up the final few boxes and looking mighty pleased that a hard day’s work
is coming to an end.
The final load is ready to be distributed to every Lodge Charity Steward across the Province.
Thirsty work; some the team are enjoying a well deserved rest.

The Northumberland Masonic Charity Association (NMCA) wishes to thank the entire team for all their hard
work. They are:

  • Dave & Les Watson
  • Richard & Lexa Summerbell
  • Reg & Pat Tulip
  • Peter & Eileen Ridley
  • Colin & Dianne Hume
  • Richard & Erica Whiteley

Please support the NMCA and buy a set of Christmas Cards from your Lodge Charity Steward!
