The Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys is one of the four Masonic Charities supported by United Grand Lodge of England and is based in the Freemasons’ Hall, Great Queens Street, London.

The prime objective of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys is to support for the children of distressed or deceased Freemasons. The second objective is to provide help to children not connected to Masonic families and to support charities connected with children.

Once every year the Trust holds a Festival in a particular Province in England and Wales where the final total achieved is announced. On each of these occasions a distinguished Brother, usually a Provincial Grand Master presides and in the latter case, the brethren of his Province and their ladies are invited to the celebration.

In 2009 the Festival is being held under the presidency of the Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Northumberland. The Festival Dinner will be held on Wednesday 13th May 2009 at the Marriott Hotel, Newcastle Gosforth Park.

To attend the Dinner, a brother needs to have qualified as a Steward of the Festival. The total donation required is £100 for each Mason and £50 for his wife or partner. A brother will also need to pay a one-off fee of £15 for the Festival Jewel.

For those members who have yet to qualify as a Steward and who wish to attend the Festival Event, they can also pay by Bankers Order. As long as the total amount contributed to the festival Appeal is paid into Northumberland Masonic Charity Association (NMCA) by the 5th April 2009, it will count towards being qualified.

The full details of the Festival Event will be made available on this website as soon as arrangement has been finalised.
