The Richard Henry Holmes Masonic Benevolent Fund

This Fund was established in 1906 to commemorate the 25 years’ service of the late W. Bro. Ald Richard Henry Holmes PGD, as Deputy Provincial Grand Master of Northumberland, and is supported by voluntary contributions from the Lodges and Freemasons of the Province of Northumberland which it serves.
Its objectives are:
The Fund shall be managed by a Committee which shall be appointed at the Annual Meeting of the Fund and shall consist of the Trustees of the Fund and any other members co-opted to serve on the Committee. The Chairman of the Committee shall be the Provincial Grand Master or if he is unable to attend, the Deputy Provincial Grand Master or one of the Assistant Provincial Grand Masters. Five members of the Committee shall form a quorum.
Any member co-opted to serve on the Committee will be elected each year at the Annual Meeting of the Fund.
The Committee shall meet at least twice per year. Once, prior to the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge and at other times as and when necessary.
The Annual Meeting of the Fund shall take place on October of each year and all members of the Fund are entitled to attend and five members shall form a quorum.
