Christmas Message from Our Provincial Grand Master
The loss of lives in the Phillipines, the ongoing hostilities in Afghanistan, Syria and neighbouring countries and the consequent and enduring problems of poverty and suffering serve to reminder us of how fortunate we are. No matter how we are affected by these events or with what challenges we may be presented, as Masons we try to meet and understand them and are helped in so doing by our belief in a supreme being which enables us to maintain the great Masonic tenet, our faith – the substance of hope and the evidence of things unseen.
Whilst advent and Christmas are essential elements of Christian celebrations the message which it brings – peace on earth and goodwill towards men – reminds us all of life’s golden rule - do unto others as in similar cases you would wish that they would do unto you – and I urge you to remember and fulfil this in whatever context it may occur..
I wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and extend to you all very best wishes for good health and contentment in the New Year.
